TOYOTA SOUTH AFRICA MOTORS INVITES YOUNG DREAMERS TO ENVISION THE FUTURE OF MOBILITY THROUGH ART

Johannesburg – Toyota South Africa Motors (TSAM) is excited to announce the launch of the 19th Toyota Dream Car Art Contest. In a world where imagination fuels innovation, the Contest invites children across the world to envision the future of mobility through art.

Since its inception in 2004, the Dream Car Art Contest has become one of the world’s largest international art competitions, with over 10 million entries globally. But beyond the numbers lies a deeper purpose: to nurture the dreams of young minds and inspire the next generation of changemakers.

This year’s theme, “Your Dream Car” encourages children aged 15 and under to imagine a world where cars do more than transport. Whether it’s a vehicle that cleans the oceans or one that brings communities together, the contest is a canvas for hope, creativity and bold ideas.

At the heart of this initiative is Toyota’s global mission: “Produce Happiness for All.” This philosophy drives every aspect of the Dream Car Contest, reminding the world that mobility is also about creating joy, opportunity and a better future for everyone.

Reflecting on the annual contest, Tasneem Lorgat, General Manager of Marketing Communications at Toyota South Africa Motors said, “The Toyota Dream Car Art Contest encourages children to express their ideas about the future of transportation and mobility, highlighting the importance of creativity in problem-solving and innovation. By engaging with these young minds, we hope to inspire the next generation of innovators who will shape the future of mobility. It’s a beautiful reflection of our mission to produce happiness for all.”
