Workshop Technical Foreman - MMG Ford Newcastle
What You’ll Do
Supervise a team of technicians, allocating jobs and monitoring workflow to meet company standards and customer deadlines.
Diagnose complex faults on vehicles using diagnostic tools; perform quality checks on all repairs.
Manage workshop inventory, tools, and equipment; enforce health, safety, and housekeeping protocols.
Train and mentor staff on technical skills and compliance.
Collaborate with the Service Frontline Manager to deliver exceptional customer experiences and minimize comebacks.
Track KPIs like turnaround time, billable hours, and productivity; report to management.
What You’ll Bring
Grade 12 + Trade Test Certificate (Red Seal) in Automotive Motor Mechanic.
5+ years’ workshop experience, with 2+ years in a supervisory role (Ford dealership experience advantageous).
Strong knowledge of diagnostics, warranty processes, and modern vehicle systems.
Valid driver’s license.
Leadership skills, fault-finding expertise, and proficiency in workshop management software.
